  4. I think The Chocolate War is interesting and is a good start to a novel. I predict a good storyline and a good ending. Jerry and Archie are significant so far. Jerry is hard-working during practice, and shows leadership. Archie shows good leadership towards Obie at times and is important in this novel.

  6. So far I have found the book to be interesting and mysterious. I predict that Archie and Jerry will become rivals while Jerry and Obie become friends and start to plan Archie's demise.

  7. The book so far is pretty good and interesting. I feel that Archie and Jerry's relationship will fade away through out the story. I also feel like Jerry will under go a transformation that leaves him an opinionated person. I also feel as the novel goes on the friendship that Jerry and Obie have will form into something more.

  8. The book was sorta interesting, it doesn't really sound exciting to me. I think Jerry wont want Archie to tell him what to do. Obie might realize that if Jerry can stand up to Archie, then so can he, so maybe by the end of the book Archie will be all alone.

  9. The book is eventfull so far, with a good beginning and a potential to many story lines. I believe that there will be a connection between the two main characters, Jerry and Archie. The connection will not be one of kindness, because of their opposing attitudes; one very suttle, the other a leader. I think that one of their plans will involve the two into a war of conflicts. The chocolate that Archie is determined to sell may cause a connection between the two main characters. Obie, a persn who keeps his feeling's to himself,I think he will soon try to prove to Archie he is not just side kick. A conflict will probaly happen, but I will have to wait and see what the conflict is based upon.

  11. I believe the book had a slightly shaky beginning. It was hard fro me to follow in the first few pages. I predict that their will be many obstacles which both Jerry and Archie will have to overcome. Jerry I beleive will be depicted as the victim of the book, while Archie is portrayed as the "torturer."

  12. This is a book i actually i like. It is easy to read. I think that Jerry and Archie will become close friends but then a conflict will arise where they end up being enemies. This will probably result in "The Chocolate War".

  13. Thus far, the book seems to have an insight on the modern day teenage male, with the same hopes and disires as most of us have. I see Jerry becoming the "comeback kid" and will become very sucessful through out his carer at whatever position he may play. Also I see an upcoming tension between Archie and Jerry. With the constant presure to suceed, Archie may push Jerry to his limits, which may conclude in a feud.

  17. The book is looking like it will be a good one so far. I think that Archie is going to take Jerry under his wing, and make him second in command. There will then be a conflict between The Vigils. Jerry will lead one army, and Archie will lead the other in a battle for control over the chocolate.

  19. I feel the book so far is a better book than I expected. The book sort of has a sneaky feeling to it and it seems it should be good. I feel that the secret group in the story (the Vigils) might be doing something possbily illegal or maybe just bad. I feel that Jack will want to get as far away from Archie as possible but Archie will need Jack to do his deeds.

  20. I feel that the book is good so far, but also has a sneaky like plot to it. I feel that the Vigils might be doing something illegal or maybe bad and the school district they are in strongly disagrees with it. I think that if they are doing something wrong then Archie will frame Jack and Jack will end up starting a "Chocolate War" or maybe reveal the Vigils secrecy. I think the book will be very good and maybe have a surprising twist at the end.

  21. I think that this book is ok so far, seems to discribe to much. I belive the the boys will face new and hard challanges that will cause unfixable problems. I belive as the book goes on jack will become closer to people and will try to stay away from some as well.

  22. I liked the beginning. It is starting to evolve into a good story. It's easy read and understable. I think Archie will get involved with Jerry somehow either in a good or bad way. I think Archie will develop a conflict with Jerry as well.

  25. I think this book is pretty good so far. I like how it involves sports, like football. I think that there will possibly be a situation with fighting or gang violence in the "CHOCOLATE WAR". I think that Jerry eventually becomes Archie's right hand man.

  26. I liked the fact that this book, unlike other books I have read, started out exciting and not boring. I can see this book having a great conflict later on. I think that the raising of the money for the school will turn into some type of competition between Jerry and Archie.

  30. I think that the book will be an interesting novel to read. I am very excited to figure out what happens as the book progresses. The only problem that I have with the book so far is that the chapters are a bit short.

  31. I think the book so far is a little complicated. It was hard to follow the story line in the beginning. But as the story continues i think jerry will be used as the victim throughout the story. And Archie as kind of the villian. And they will both deal with obstacles throughout the story
