1. What would you do if you were a student in Brother Leon's class? (Think of how Brother Leon treats his students.)
2. What do you think the real purpose of Goober's prank in Chapter 5 is?
3. Despite the fact that they hate eachother, why do you suppose Archie and Emile work together?

I would try not to talk to anyone or disrupt the class for any reason. I would try not to get attention. I would just do what he says and to try not to get into trouble. I would be intimidated and would be worried to be in his class.

If I was a student in Brother Leon's class I would not be a loud mouth(Julius) because he would ridicule you. I would also try to stay on his good side. I think they do the prank to show Brother Leon who's boss. Archie and Emile stay close because they can help each other out.

If I were in Brother Leon's class I would be respectful and try to understand Bro. Leon's tricks. The real reason for Goober's pramk is probably to initiate Goober into the Vigils and to wreak havoc in general. Archie and Emile stay close because each boy wants what the other can offer (Archie leads the Vigils and Emile is bold. Both boys are respected by their peers.)

If I were in Brother Leon's class, I would try to be as quiet as possible. Some students may attract attention to themselves due to bad behavior and I would stay away from them. Brother Leon is a intellectual person and I would attempt to resemble him, so he could relate and think well of me. Brother Leon thinks outside the normal bounderies and I would try to ask questions to interest him. Most importantly I would try to become a friend and a student of Brother Leon, so I would not be on the bad side of him.

If i was in Brother Leon's class i would make sure i draw the least attention to myself. I would make sure to pay attention and avoid those who cause trouble. I think the real reason for Goober's prack is to cause people grief. I think they work together because the both require what the other has.

Brother Leon seems very demanding and wants to provide entertainment for himself. For example he made Bailey stand in the front of the room and admit "he cheats to get good grades." If I were a student I would intimidated by Brother Leon.

If I were in Brother Leon's class, I would just do all of my work, do what he says, and never say anything unless I had too. Just anything to keep me away from trouble. As long as I focused on my own work, I feel that I could pass his class without getting hit like the kid in the stroy.

1) If I was in Brother Leon's class, a simple phrase would tell what I would do: Sit down and Shut up. Just like some teachers at Central, if your quite, get good grades and take good notes, you wont have any problems. However if obnoctious and rude, many problems will arise. There are four steps I would do, Get to class on time, take notes, get good grades, and leave. (hopefully doning so without getting whacked!)

If i were in brother leon's class i think i would be the best student because i'd be afraid that he would yell back at me or something. I think the whole prank thing is to show that the school need's people to keep the school running and that without them the school would go down the tubes. I suppose Archie and Emile work together because they sort of have the same mind. In the Vigils Archie knows no one will mess with him and, in school Emile knows no one will mess with him.

If I were part of Brother Leon's class, I wouldn't enjoy it. He thrives on watching his students shrivel in fear of him. I couldn't stand being like Bailey, standing in the front of the room, being humiliated. I would do anything to stay on his good side.
ReplyDeleteI think the real purpose for Goober's prank is so that he can actually feel as though he's important. He probably thinks Archie will admire his work, and maybe he'll actually like him. I think Goober's delusional. But, maybe his prank was a way to get the attention off of Archie for his real plans.
Because Emile and Archie both admire one another. Emile secretly wants to be like Archie, someone important. Archie likes the way Emile gets things done. They both don't realize how they could use eachother to get what they want.

If I were in Brother Leon's class I would be on my best behavior all the time seeing how he treats the students. Being disruptive would be the last thing I would ever want to do.

I think I would feel very uncomfortable in Brother Leons class. I would pay more attention to making sure I don't say or do anything stupid than trying to actually learn. I think the reason for the prank is to show that the Vigils have the upperhand and have the most power and order in the school. They show their power by taking apart practically everything, but the room. I think Archie and Emile work together because although they hate each other they have respect for each other. They both are powerful and usually know how to get what they want.

If I were in Brother Leon's class, I would try and act out. He seems like the type of person that respects people who speak their mind. He likes to teach the students valuable lessons through others. He is very intillectual person and as I said earlier he respects people who speak their mind. Brother Leon reminds me of a teacher here, who will remain anonymous.

If Brother Leon was my teacher I would act ow I do know. Brother Leon doesn't seem like a mean person just one that doesn't want to put up with everyones crap, a normal brother. It seems that Goober does the prank to get everyones attention, epically Archie and Emile's. Archie and Emile make a good team. They both are wise and cunning in a way. If they used each other properly they could probably get anything they wanted.

If I were in brother leons class I would not say a word because I would be to scared to find out what would happen if I got in trouble. He personaly reminds me of my 8th grade math teacher, he would make fun of you during the class but after class it was like he was a normal person. If i were in Brother Leon's class i would try to be on his good side alot and be quiet alot. And just try to be a good student and not get in trouble with him at all. And just stay out of his way.

If I were in Brother Leon's class I would try not to make him mad. I think that Goober's pranks are just to bother others. I think that Archie and Emile continue to work together because they fell that the other one can help them.
